I'm 4 Months Old!

Yes, you got it!  Four whole months old.  SOOOOO much has happened during my 4th Month and things have just begun.  Let's see....where do I start? 

So, I just had my check up and I weigh in at 14 lbs, 7 oz and 24 inches long!  I've just about doubled my weight since my birthday.  Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe how much I've grown.  Mommy put away all of my newborn clothes.  She was a little sad and was saying how "her little baby is growing up," but I'm excited!  We have warm fleece clothes, hats and mittens to look forward to!

Look at me smile!  I love to giggle...when Mommy and Daddy kiss my tickle spot, I just crack up laughing!  Mommy likes to dance too and that is always good for a belly laugh.

We spent our first Labor Day Weekend together.  The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed a lot of time outside.  We were so glad that we were able to visit with the Panichella's.  Audrey is so much fun and I am always interested in her and her pretty goldilocks.  Here are a few pictures from our lovely afternoon together!

My Papa Olivares gave me this cool bib when he and my Nana went to Mexico.  Te quiero Abuelo!  And a special shout-out to my Auntie Casie.  I love skyping with you!

I'm really becoming a big boy!  I rolled over for the first time this week in my crib.  Mommy and Daddy were able to bear witness and they were so proud of newest accomplishment.  I wasn't sure what to do once I got on my belly.  I just kind of looked around and hoped that someone would come and save me.  I haven't rolled since, but I'm definitely thinking about it.  The coolest thing is now I get to wear fun pajamas to bed.  I don't get to be swaddled anymore, but I don't mind.  I really like to sleep on my side...I've been waiting to be able to sleep like that.  Boy does that make a difference!

I also got to play with my jumperoo!  I can't quite touch the floor, but it's so fun to sit upright and look around.  It's such a fun way to play and I can't wait to play in the jumperoo more.  Mommy said she would take more pictures for next week.

Big Changes

Hi Everyone! 

Sorry it's been awhile since I've had a chance to give you all an update.  We have been so busy with our new routine.  Mommy had to go back to work.  I hate to see her cry, but hopefully she feels better knowing that my teachers take such good care of me at daycare.  I like it there and I have a ton of new friends now.  I'm the youngest one right now, so it's fun to watch all of my friends sit up, crawl and even walk!  I can't wait to be able to play with them more.  Here are a few pictures so you can see that they really are taking good care of me!













I've also been rolling from left to right,but I haven't been able to roll over completely.  I'm working on it!  I have also found my toes.  They feel so cool.  I never knew they were mine!  I wish I could put them in my mouth, so I'm going to keep practicing!













Today, I had my first food:  OATMEAL!  It was sooooooo delicious!  I loved it.  This whole spoon thing is a little weird when I kept trying to suck it like a bottle.  Mommy & Daddy were laughing at me because I was wearing more than I was eating.  I can't wait to do this again tomorrow!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  It's the last official week of summer, so enjoy the sunshine wherever you are.

Looking back....Remember when?

Hi Everyone!  Can you believe that I'm going to be 14 Weeks tomorrow!?!?!  Time has gone by so fast and I'm loving each day more and more.  Mommy & Daddy love how much I like to giggle.  I also like playing with a lot of my toys and trying to grab them is so cool.  I love to sit up and look around.  I have been watching Putter and Derby run around which keeps me busy trying to keep up with them.  We also sing lots of songs and my new favorite is the Wheels on the Bus.  I smile extra big with that one!

Mommy & Daddy received my newborn photos and we thought we would share them with you so you can see how much I've grown.  I was only 4 weeks old!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys a little break from the heat and humidity (if you live here in New England).

Our First Family Trip

Hi Everyone! We took our first family vacation last week! It was a great way to spend quality time as a family and have a little fun in the sun. Plus, it was the perfect way to celebrate my 3-Month Old Birthday!

So, we had to load up the car and of course, you don't know what you need until you get there, so we stayed on the safe side and brought EVERYTHING!    We managed to fit everything in the trunk with Putter, Derby and I in the back and Mommy and Daddy up front.  It was quite the site!

We visited quite a few beaches during our week at the Cape.   It was unusually warm, so Mommy & Daddy tried to keep me as cool as possible.  You'll love all of the set-ups Daddy made just to be sure!

 

I also took my first boat ride!  It was soooo relaxing that my friend Charlotte and I slept almost the entire ride.  Everyone thought I looked funny in my life jacket because I was so small.  They said I looked like a little tick with only my little arms and legs sticking out.

My Nonnie came to stay a night with us.  It was so fun to see her.  We spent a day at the beach, she told me lots of stories about Daddy and we also went to Provincetown.  It was tons of fun.  Nonnie bought a pink flamingo which Mommy and Daddy thought was really funny.  Do people buy pink flamingos?  =)

I looooooove the beach, just like Mommy & Daddy and I can't wait until next summer where I can splash in the water!

I also turned THREE MONTHS old!  I welcomed my 90 mark with finding my thumb!  Boy is it yummy and so soothing!  I also gave Mommy and Daddy lots of new conversation sounds and a full-on belly laugh.  They are so funny and make me laugh all the time!

That's all for now.  Until the next adventure.  I heard about hanging out at a place called Daycare soon!?!?!  Hmmmm....

My New Friends

Mommy & I joined a playgroup for new babies and mom's like us. Mommy has learned so many different ideas of how to take such good care of me. We have learned new sleep techniques, feeding ideas and fun songs and toys to use. Thank goodness for this class because now I get a massage in the morning and before I go to bed. I love it, especially when she massages my head! We have such a great time seeing other babies that will become my friends as we grow up together. Here are a few photos of my new friends. We are starting a new class in a couple of weeks and we can't wait to learn more fun things and meet more friends for mommy and me. We'll share with you more about our fun playdates soon!

Happy Events!

Hi Everyone!

Recently, we celebrated lots of special occasions...Mommy & Daddy's Anniversary, my first Fourth of July and turning 10 weeks old! I know that so many things have changed in just a year's time because they were telling me about how they got married in this place called paradise and spent two weeks enjoying becoming husband and wife. They did so many fun things and I can't wait to hear more stories about Mommy and Daddy's special vacation. And now, one year later, they have me! They weren't able to celebrate their day in usual Newman fashion, but we were able to celebrate together as the Newman FAMILY! Next year, I think Mommy will be ready to hire a babysitter and enjoy a fun night out with Daddy.

I celebrated my first Fourth of July with the MacKinnon's and some of Daddy's friends. I wasn't feeling well all weekend, but I tried to give some smiles when I was feeling better. They were telling me about fireworks and all the special lights, but I think those might still scare me next year, so we'll see. In the meantime, I'll enjoy staring at all the flags. They are so cool!

Finally, I'm 10 WEEKS OLD!!!! Double digit weeks now. I weigh in at 11.5 lbs and 22.5 inches. My pedi says that' I'm growing perfectly. My newest tricks are laughing, my favorite toy is a giraffe and I love to talk! I make all kinds of conversation. So, they next time I see you, talk to me and I'll really talk right back!
